AI & automation disclosure
SpinHerald uses software, including AI language models, to cover a fast-moving industry. This page explains exactly where, and what the limits are.
The Newsroom byline
Stories produced this way are credited to the SpinHerald Newsroom. It is an organizational byline, not a person: we do not create fictional reporters, names, photos or biographies.
How a story is produced
- Monitoring: software collects announcements from regulators, courts, governments, companies and industry media, groups reports about the same event and removes duplicates.
- AI-assisted drafting: an AI language model writes a first draft using only the collected source material.
- Automated fact-check: software compares names, figures and dates in the draft against the source documents. Regulation stories must cite at least one primary source (regulator, government, legislature, court or company filing).
- Publish gate: only drafts that pass every check can be published. Drafts that fail are held for manual review or dropped, never published as they are.
Limits
Automated checks reduce errors but cannot guarantee that a story is free of them. They check the draft against its sources; if a source is wrong, the story can be too. That is why every story lists its sources, so you can check them yourself.
Labelling
Stories produced with automation say so at the end of the article, with a link to this page, and show their fact-check status and sources.
Corrections and contact
We correct errors promptly and say what changed: see the corrections policy, report an error or contact the newsroom.
